Upcoming October Events!

October is shaping up to be a busy month at Nellie’s and we wanted to share some fun and exciting events that we’re proud to be participating in!

October 22nd – Take a Walk on the Riverside

This year Nellie’s will be hosting a Rummage Sale in honour of the United Way Toronto!  Nellie’s is proud to be a United Way Toronto member agency and we wouldn’t be able to do our work without their support.  Please stop by Nellie’s Outreach Office at 754 Queen Street East on Saturday October 22nd between 12 and 5:00pm to browse through our sale, check out our program and space, and meet some of our staff and volunteers.  We’re always so happy to meet the members of the Riverside community and we’d love to meet you 🙂

October 23rd – Dirty Dishes Bakesale and Jamboree

We are so excited to have the fantastic, talented, and lovely ladies from the Dirty Dishes host another afternoon of good music and delicious baked good for Nellie’s!  On Sunday October 23rd at 3:00pm, the Dirty Dishes will bringing their country/bluegrass/gospel sound to the Tranzac Club on Bloor as well as some tasty cookies, pies, muffins, and other baked treats!   Tickets are available at the door for $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

October 29th – Ontario Network Chiropractors at The Zoomer Show

Source Centre and the Ontario Network Chiropractors will be at this year’s ZoomerShow, Toronto’s largest consumer show and lifestyle expo for men and women 45+ on October 29th and 30th.  They will be talking about Network Spinal Analysis (NSA) and offering spinal and posture checks.  All fees from initial consultations booked at the show will be going to Nellie’s. We will be giving away a free pass for 2 to the show on October 28th on twitter @nelliesshelter.
