Lauren Hanna

Lauren Hanna joined the Nellie’s Board of Directors in 2014. Lauren is a Research Coordinator in the Ontario Government.  After graduating, Lauren participated in the Ontario Legislative Internship Program, working for government and opposition Members of Provincial Parliament. Lauren completed a placement in Public Affairs at the Law Society of Upper Canada, and she has also worked at the University of Toronto’s Post-Medical Education Department and in Student Programs at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.

Lauren was motivated to join the Board by her work in Community Development at Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers. She has been involved with CivicAction and an initiative encouraging young women to get politically engaged. Lauren completed an Honours degree in Political Science and Women and Gender Studies, and led her university’s first Women and Gender Society.
