Yule is the Pagan celebration of the Winter Solstice.  Yule is one of the oldest and strongest features of the ancient Pagan tradition.  Yule is a turning point in the year.  It marks the beginning of winter; but it also marks the longest night of the year.  After the Winter Solstice, the days get longer and hope returns.  In 2017, the moment of the Winter Solstice occurs on December 21 at 4:28pm.
