Donna Kellway joined the Nellie’s Board in 2015. Donna completed an Honours Degree in Psychology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst before her arrival in Canada 25 years ago. She is now a lawyer who has been practicing criminal law for over 20 years in Toronto. Donna was motivated to join the Board through her exposure to women experiencing violence, poverty and homelessness while working in a free legal clinic in law school, and while working both as private defence counsel and for the Ontario government. She has also served on the Board of a local Community Centre. She volunteers to educate youth in the community in law through the Ontario Justice Education Network and the Law In Action Within Schools programs.
