Carol Allain was a past director and co-chair of Nellie’s board of directors and has now rejoined in 2015.  Carol is the former Drop In Services Manager at Sistering, working to support marginalized women.  She is firmly committed to ending violence against women and children and actively works towards this goal in everything that she does.  Carol has a long history of working for change and is a founding member of the Black Women’s Collective, Women’s Coalition against Racist Police Violence,   and has given her time to many agencies including Black Coalition for AIDS prevention (Black CAP), Working Women Community Centre and Trinity St. Paul’s United Church.  Carol is presently enrolled in the Gerontology programme at Ryerson University and hopes to return to providing supports and services to vulnerable and marginalized seniors.
