May is Planned Giving Month

Each day women and their children are helped and lives are changed by the program and services at Nellie’s. Women and their children are given shelter; housing is secured; meals are provided; children play and experience new adventures in our summer camp program; and jobs and educational opportunities are opened up.

Canadians leave a gift through their will for many reasons: for some it is a way to ensure that their favorite charity is able to continue its important work, while for others it represents a way to facilitate the tax implications that come with the transfer of one’s estate to surviving relatives.

No matter what the reason leaving a legacy to Nellie’s guarantees that the work we do will continue well into the future. A legacy gift will help Nellie’s work to lessen homeless for women and their children whether the cause is family violence, mental health, or any other reason that results in dealing with the impact from trauma.
